PAUL SMITH

Paul Lutz Smith, of Springdale, PA passed away peacefully on April 26, 2026.

Born August 8, 1950, in Reading, PA to the late John & Sallie (Lutz) Smith.

Paul worked for Yellow Freight for 25 years until his retirement. He enjoyed making wine and smoking meats. He was a great storyteller and knew how to fix anything. He lived his life to the fullest, laughing and joking with his friends.

He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 45 years Carole Smith. Beloved father of his two daughters Kathy Smith Boyer of Temple, PA and Lisa (Michael) Rone of Charlotte, NC. Cherished grandfather of four grandchildren, Andrew Boyer, Taryn (Lionel) Santos, Jaelyn Rone and Jordan Rone, and also leaving behind his great grandchild Noah Santos.

Also surviving are his siblings, Betty Jane (the late Joseph) Ustaszewski, Nancy Lena (the late Ray) Walbert, John (Wendi) Smith and "Like a brother " David Smith all of Reading, PA.

Along with his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his son Paul Christopher Smith, grandchild Justin Seiders, siblings, Mildred May, Ruth Ann, Robert J. and Sallie Fisher.
