Phyllis "Marie" (Kowalski) Truckley, 86, of New Kensington, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at home with her family by her side. Marie, as everyone called her, was born March 20, 1931, in Natrona, to Walter and Stefania (Budzinski) Kowalski. She had just celebrated her 86th birthday. Marie worked at G.C. Murphy's and Colonial Restaurant in New Kensington, and had a daycare in her home. She was a person that loved company and hosting holidays. She welcomed everyone. Marie leaves behind her husband, Walter Sr.; son, Walter "Wally", at home; brother, Joseph (Donna) Kowalski; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Stanley, Theodore and Alfred Kowalski; and sisters, Stella Malkey and Helen Guber. Marie and her husband just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in July, with a celebration given by her son, family and neighbors.
