Rachel Elizabeth Thorp passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at the age of 53, in her home in Lower Burrell, where she resided.
Rachel was born on August 11, 1973, in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Sandra Lee Thorp (Wegner) and Thomas Craig Thorp. She graduated from Freeport Area High School and went on to work as a welder. Later in life, she became a caretaker for her brother, dedicating her time and energy to the very thing she did best-caring for others.
Rachel is survived by her siblings, Sam Thorp and Thomas Thorp II; her step-siblings, Eric Westendorf and Kelly Becke. She is also survived by her daughters, Panacea Grazier and her fiancé, Matthew Lang, Korian Grazier and her fiancé, Joshua Parker; and her stepdaughter, Danielle Wolfe.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sandra Lee Thorp (Wagner); her father, Thomas Craig Thorp; her partner, Stewart Andrew Pollock; and her two beloved grandkitties, Bea and Kitty.
Rachel was known for her deep compassion for others. Not only did she raise her daughters to be strong and independent, but she was also a steadfast supporter of anyone fortunate enough to know her. She had a deep appreciation for the arts and found particular joy in crocheting, a craft that reflected her patience, creativity, and love for making things for others.
At this time, the family has not made any funeral or memorial arrangements. Those wishing to reach out may contact the family directly.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Frankie's Friends in New Kensington, Pennsylvania. Frankies Friends in a non-profit organization providing low cost spay/neuter services to the community.
