Rhea (Rautenstrauch) Senko, 64, of Leechburg, Allegheny Twp. (Westmoreland County), passed away on Friday, June 30, 2023, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.
She was born May 2, 1959, in Buffalo, NY, to the late Patricia (Lucas) Arb and has resided in the Allegheny Valley area most of her adult life.
Ms. Senko enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family. One of her greatest enjoyments was being at the beach watching rescued and rehabilitated sea turtles be released back into the ocean.
She worked as an LPN for BioLife Plasma Services, LP of Braddock. Prior to working at BioLife, she worked in the mental health field during most of her nursing career.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children, Angelique Senko (William Rush) of Leechburg, Jessi Senko-Anthony of Arnold, Zachary Senko of Leechburg, Melanie (Nathan) May of Leechburg, her eight grandchildren and two brothers, William and Richard Rautenstrauch, both of Oregon.
Rhea was preceded in death by her stepfather and mother, Leonard and Patricia (Lucas) Arb, her grandson, James Anthony, her brother, Keith Rautenstrauch, and her sister, Patricia Robson.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, July 5th from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm and on Thursday, July 6th from 10 am until the time of funeral ceremonies at 11:00 am at RJ SLATER IV FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 1000 Freeport Road, New Kensington (724-335-0010). The Reverend Harold M. Mele will officiate.
