Robert "Bob" C. Faith, Sr., 93, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 1, 2026. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Bob was a lifelong resident of the New Kensington and Lower Burrell area.
Born October 20, 1932, in New Kensington, he was the son of the late William and Margaret (Reagan) Faith. Bob was a 1950 graduate of Ken High.
Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, MaryAnn (Lecocq) Faith, who passed away in 2018; his son, Robert C. Faith, Jr., who passed away in 2001; his sisters, Virginia Kuhn and Helen Snyder; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
He was the loving father of Linda (Paul) Upvall of Lower Burrell, William Faith (Nancy Christian) of Pittsburgh, Joy (Patrick) Bruno of Allegheny Township, and Wendy Faith Beach (Robert, Jr.) of Sahuarita, Arizona. He was a cherished Grandpap and PapPap to Heidi (Daniel) Rodriguez, Emily (Jeremy) Quam, Andrew Upvall, Thomas (Katherine) Bruno, and Allison (Garret) Polka; and a proud great-grandfather to Julie and Nathan Rodriguez and Mackenzie and Larry Quam.
Bob proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He trained as a journeyman machinist and went on to enjoy a long career with Alcoa, spending much of his time in research and development at the Alcoa Technical Center in Upper Burrell. He retired in 1993 as a master machinist.
A lifelong baseball fan, Bob's love of the game began at an early age. In his youth, he spent time as a relief pitcher in the Washington Senators' farm system. He later shared that love of baseball with younger generations by coaching Little League for many years. Bob enjoyed all sports and especially loved cheering on the Pittsburgh Pirates and Pittsburgh Steelers.
Away from sports, Bob enjoyed camping, woodworking, country music, and traveling. Above all else, however, his greatest joy was spending time with his family. The many years and memories shared with those he loved most were what he treasured above everything else.
Arrangements are entrusted to R.J. Slater IV Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1000 Freeport Rd., New Kensington. Burial will be private at Greenwood Memorial Park in Lower Burrell.
A Celebration of Life honoring Bob will be held at a later date.
