Robert Simpson, 68, of Barking, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Bel Air Nursing Home. Born on June 8, 1956, in New Kensington, he was the son of Genevieve Simpson and the late William Simpson.
He is survived by his sisters, Elizabeth (Steve) Topliffe and Lisa (Scott) Wyant; nieces and nephews, Jason, Leland, Ashley, and Aubrey; and many cherished friends and family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lynn (Penman) Simpson; son, Rj Simpson; brothers, James “Jim,” William, and George; and his maternal grandparents, Stella and Michael Matis; and paternal grandparents, Elizabeth and Robert Simpson.
The family thanks the staff at Bel Air for their compassionate care.
Friends and family will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday at R.J. Slater IV Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1000 Freeport Road, New Kensington. A memorial service will follow at 6 p.m. with Pastor Paul Barton officiating. Online condolences may be shared at www.rjslater.com.
