Roger Burkett

Roger D. Burkett, age 72, of Arnold, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2023. He was born on July 30, 1951, to the late Doyle and Marietta (Vasbinder) Burkett. Roger was a cherished brother to Barbara Orsini, Darlene Sheasley, Marlene Burkett, Patricia Acre, Edward Burkett, Rick Burkett, and the late Wayne Burkett. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who will forever hold him in their hearts.

He had a passion for life that manifested in his love for reading, tackling challenging jigsaw puzzles, and engaging in spirited games of horseshoes. His enthusiasm for these simple joys brought joy to those around him. Among those who will miss him dearly is his loyal companion, Tiger, his beloved cat.

Friends and family are invited to join in celebrating Roger's life by paying their respects from 2-4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until the time of the service at 8 p.m. on Thursday. The memorial service will be held at RJ SLATER IV FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE, located at 1000 Freeport Road, New Kensington.

In honoring Roger's wishes, the burial will be a private family affair. As we gather to remember him, let us reflect on the warmth he brought to our lives and the lasting impact of his kind spirit. May he rest in eternal peace.
