Ronald Alan Acklin, 61, of Lower Burrell, passed away suddenly Friday, December 9, 2022, after a brief illness. He is survived by his husband of 24 years, William Masiarik, brother Robert (Pat) Acklin, sisters Sandy (Harry) Alexander & Mary Ann Kerestes, and countless close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert & Mary Lou Acklin and his brother Roger.
Ron was a retiree from the BP Corporation, and an avid collector of giraffes. He treasured the memories he made with his husband during their many trips to Punta Cana. Ron cherished the quiet life and loved being at home with his dog Mia.
Per Ron's request, there will be no viewing or service; a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to RJ Slater IV Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Kensington, 724-335-0100. www.rjslater.com
