Roy Moore

Roy Owen Moore, 71, of Arnold, passed away Friday, Dec. 15, 2017, at home with his loving family by his side. Roy was born April 19, 1946, in New Kensington, to the late Roy O. Moore and Dorothy E (Backstrom) Moore. He was the beloved husband of Barbara (Cervice) Moore for 48 years; loving father of Timothy Roy Moore; loving grandfather of Collin Roy Moore and brother of Sandra (Joseph) Trziciak. Roy graduated from Ken Hi in 1964 and attended Youngstown University. He was employed at Liberty Hose and Supply for 38 years in sales and also was part owner for several of those years. Roy enjoyed the casino, selling at the flea market and going to Ocean City, Md., with his family. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant son, Roy Owen Moore Jr.; his grandparents, John D. Moore and Olive M. Moore; brother, John M. (Janette) Moore; and aunt, Leona Allen. The family would like to thank the nurses and aids from Heritage Hospice for their outstanding care and compassion, and also his good friend Jack Spak.
