Shirley Bazyk

Shirley Mae (Hare) Bazyk, age 92, peacefully passed away at her home in Lower Burrell on May 11, 2025. She was born on November 25, 1932.

Shirley is survived by her loving children: Paula (Richard) Adams, Cynthia (Keith) Kankoski, and Richard E. Heidelmeier. She is also remembered fondly by her grandchildren: Marshall (Heather) McKallip IV, Richard Heidelmeier, Lacey (Zak) Hutchison, Kimberly (Justin) Cratty, Janelle (Guy) Trettel, and Richard (Brecken) Adams. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Marshall and Dylan McKallip, Lillie and Lucas Heidelmeier, Adriana and Liam Plummer, Scarlett and Declan Hutchison, Jaxson and Mason Cratty, and Landon and Kelsey Adams. Shirley is also survived by her brothers, Theodore (Mae) Hare and Gary (Lynn) Hare, along with numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Bazyk, and her parents, Theodore and Madeline Hare.

In 1986, Shirley was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and was an active member of the New Kensington Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She cherished sharing her faith and discussing Jehovah God's promises for mankind, particularly the hope of a resurrection to a paradise earth as foretold at Isaiah 25:8.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to RJ Slater IV Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1000 Freeport Road, New Kensington, PA.

A private burial has taken place. A memorial service to honor Shirley's life will be held on June 22, 2025, at 4pm at the New Kensington Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, located at 890 Stevenson Blvd, New Kensington, PA 15068.
