Shirley Genetin

March 10th 1938- October 7th 2025

Shirley Genetin of Herminie #2 passed peacefully in Latrobe hospital after a long battle with Renal Disease. She was born on March 10th 1938 in Edna, Pa. Daughter of the late Frank Gumola and Florence Adams. Shirley was a strong loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Shirley enjoyed spending time at her cabin in Cook Forest, crocheting, baking and spending time with family. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents and husband of 50 years Ernest Genetin Sr. Shirley is survived by her children- Ernest Jr, Richard Butler, Debbie Pavlik, Martin Thomas, Robert Corso, John Skiba, Viola "Tina" Jeffcoat and Duane Harouse. Shirley is also survived by 21 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

As per Shirleys wishes there will be no public visitation.

The family would like to thank DCI Hempfield, Cathy and all of the wonderful staff who took such special care of Shirley during her treatments.

The family will be holding a private celebration of life for Shirley on Friday October 10th at 5pm.
