Steven Kanaval

Steven Craig Kanaval entered eternal rest on Wednesday, February 7th at UPMC Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Steven was predeceased by his mother, Mary Lou (Romberger) Kanaval and his father, John J. Kanaval. He is survived by daughters Kelly J. Hauck, partner of Troy Hertzog, Myerstown; Michelle L. Giorgio, wife of Darrin Giorgio, Myerstown; and Nicole Rex, wife of Jason Rex, Sinking Spring; Grandchildren Zachary Gerhart, Joshua Hauck, Jared Hauck, Devin Gerhart, Ethan Rex and Emileigh Rex; Great- grandchildren Ezekiel and Lillian Gerhart and sister Debbie Reigel, wife of Dale Reigel, Richland.

Born in Pottsville on August 2, 1954, Steven grew up in Berks County. Steven was a graduate of Conrad Weiser High School. Steven worked as a truck driver and maintenance technician. Steven’s passions included boating, fishing, hunting, and motorcycles.

He will be deeply missed by many friends and his loving family.
A memorial in Steven’s honor will be held by family in the coming weeks.
