Susan Walter

November 29, 1971 — September 21, 2022

Susan Walter was born November 29, 1971 and passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on September 21, 2022. She was preceded in death by her brother Carl Ament and both parents. Susie, as everyone knew her by, is survived by her loving husband, Clarence “Jimmy” Walter, Jr., many cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Susie worked at MSA for twenty-six years. Recently, as a Customer Service Trainer, she treasured training her team and viewed them as “her kids” to look after and mentor. Her co-workers we very much loved by her.

Susie was devoted to Jimmy. She loved to join him at the racetrack, go on flea market adventures and enjoy time on their boat. Jimmy and Susie, named as guardians to Elizabeth and Rachel Getz since they were babies, became second parents. Susie adored Elizabeth and Rachel and doted on them as if they were her own daughters.

She was the best friend to many, including being a maid of honor in multiple weddings. Even if time separated her from her friends, they were able to pick up with laughs immediately. She was surrounded by those friends who had become family to her.

As an active member of Jehovah’s Witnesses since childhood, Susie spent time sharing the Bible’s hope for the future. She knew that even if she died, Jehovah God would keep her in His memory. The Bible says that God knows the name of every single star. (See Isaiah 40:26.) If He can remember the name of thousands of thousands of stars, know that we can be sure He will remember every detail of Susie including her bright smile.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff in the Neurological Critical Care ICU at Presbyterian Hospital for their kind and personal care shown to Susie.
