Thomas A Myers

On August 13, 2026 our dear father, Thomas Anthony Myers left this earthly plane. Dad was a heavy equipment operator for most of his life as well as a talented musician who sang and played guitar in a country band for 18 years as well as around countless campfires.

One of the kindest men who ever walked this earth, our dad loved animals, never met a person he didn't call a friend and had a deep love for the people in his life. Dad was a man's man who loved hunting, camping and fishing but also the best girl dad and grandfather around. He was a member of the Salem Ukes and had a permanent campsite at Keystone Korner Campground for more than 30 years where the other campers became his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Lucille Myers, sisters Donna Beacom, Gail Cook and brother William Myers and granddaughter Ashley Stadtmiller.

He is survived by his loving wife Ginny of 50 years, his 2 daughters, Jessie (Tim) Stadtmiller and Jennifer (Cody) Kibbe. 5 granddaughters Alexis (Drayvin) Martin, Eva (Julia Hover) Stadtmiller, Anna (Jacob Moore) Myers, Olivia Cedar and Amanda (Chris Byrne) Stadtmiller and 3 great grandsons Keaton Martin, Charlie Melick and Michael Sandy. Sisters Joyce Stimel and Karen Hixson and brother Daniel (Joyce) Myers as well as multiple nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his loyal canine companion Benny.

Though the loss of dad will forever change us, his light will live on through those whom he loved and those who loved him. Dad spent his final days exactly where he wanted, sitting on his front porch surrounded by family and friends that he considered family.

A public viewing will be held Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at RJ Slater IV Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1000 Freeport Rd, New Kensington, PA. (724-335-0100)

Funeral services will be held at a later date at St. Margaret Mary Church, Lower Burrell, a committal service will follow at Plum Creek Cemetery, Plum PA.
