Thomas Slosky

Thomas J. Slosky, 81, of Arnold, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2022, at St. Anne home in Greensburg. He was born on September 17, 1940, in Brownsville, Pa., to Edwin and Sarah Slosky, both of Brownsville.
Mr. Slosky attended Brownsville High School and California University of Pennsylvania before moving to Arnold in 1962 with his wife of 54 years, Frances (O’Brokta) Slosky of Grindstone.

Tom worked at the former AP Green Refractories for 43 years in the Quality Assurance Department before retiring in 2005. He enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas annually with his wife. Tom was an avid reader and was known to finish 2 to 3 books per week in his favorite genres, Science Fiction, and History. He enjoyed the outdoors and was a knowledgeable hunter and fisherman with many trips to different streams and lakes within the Commonwealth, with annual Steelhead runs in Erie being one of his favorites. He was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife, who passed in June 2019.

He is survived by his beloved sister Serena (Jay) Brittingham.
Tom leaves behind his three children Thomas Slosky Jr. (Heidi) of New Kensington, Lori (Jan) Lewandoski of Greensburg, Christopher (Kelli) Slosky of Lower Burrell, grandchildren (Thomas III, Angela, Ian, John Thomas), and great-grandchildren (Cash, Leo, Enzo, and Cyril).

Friends and family will be received on Saturday, September 24th, from 3 to 5 p.m. at RJ Slater IV Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1000 Freeport Rd., New Kensington. 724-335-0100.
