Thomas Valkanas

Thomas W. Valkanas, 84, of Greensburg, PA, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Donna Valkanas, with whom he shared a total of 56 wonderful years.
Thomas was a devoted father and stepfather to Ted Valkanas, Tracy Horvath, Dusty Harris, Joe Miller, Tina McLane, and Tim Miller. He was also a cherished father-in-law to David Horvath Sr., John Harris, Joe McLane Sr., Nancy Miller, and Luanne Gigliotti.

He will be fondly remembered as a grandfather to Amanda Valkanas, Michelle Valkanas, Tommy Valkanas, Jake Miller, John Heiple, Stephanie Miller, Mike Bando, Ally Bando, Abby Miller, Daniel Lavanier, Jaden Lavanier, Christina Horvath, David Horvath, Joe McLane Jr., and Gienna Stover. He was a proud great-grandfather to Ava Heiple, Savanna Bando, Aria Bando, Olivia Valkanas, Dominic Valkanas, Vadessa Gardino, Vieto Gardino, and Nathan Hoover.

Thomas was preceded in death by Jill Harris, Josh Harris, Carley Harris, and Jessie Harris, who are dearly remembered.

Thomas had a passion for cars, jewelry, and fashion. He enjoyed listening to Elvis and savoring his favorite beer, Miller Lite. He dedicated 45 years of service to the Pittsburgh Hilton before retiring, and later worked at Inco Beverage of Greensburg for an additional 5 years.
