William P. Kelley, 77, of Arnold, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, January 10, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on January 27, 1947, in Glendale, California, he was the son of the late Wiley and Helen Kelley.
Beloved husband of 51 wonderful years to Kimberly (McClung) Kelley, Bill was a devoted family man. He was the cherished father of Leyanna (Jack) Watson, Matthew (Cheryl) Kelley, Wesley (Patrina) Kelley, and Lisa (JD) Billingsley. He was adored by his 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Bill is also survived by his siblings, Julie, Dick, and Tommy, as well as many nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.
A proud Vietnam veteran, Bill served honorably in both the U.S. Army and Navy. An avid baseball fan, he found joy in umpiring Little League games and sharing his passion for the sport with the community. Above all, Bill’s faith was central to his life. While Kimberly was the love of his life, he loved Jesus even more. He delighted in telling stories, bringing laughter and joy to those around him.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, January 16, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:30 p.m. at R.J. Slater Funeral Home, 1000 Freeport Road, New Kensington, PA 15068 (724-335-0100). Burial will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with Military Honors.
